We have gotten so use to Internet data bundles with the age of social media apps. Everyone desire to keep in touch with family members, friends or just want to be up to date with latest information.
Someone should correct me if I’m wrong. It’s only in Nigeria that service providers of Internet data mandate subscribers to use up internet data within a specified period (1 or 2 weeks, 1 month). Is it just me or is anyone else concerned about this?
Are we paying for Internet data plan or Internet period plan? If you get a certain data plan and it’s used up before the period (1 or 2 weeks, 1 month) ends, you are not allowed online access even when the period (1 or 2 weeks, 1 month) has not ended. However, if your data plan remains till the end of the period (1 or 2 weeks, 1 month) you’re required to renew before the period expiration so as to roll over your unused data balance or the worst scenario you’re deprived the data yet remaining because the period elapsed (1 or 2 weeks, 1 month).
Why must I be made to finish any data plan within a specified period? If it’s Internet period plan that service provider extends, why don’t they extend my service till the end of the period even if my data plan has been exhausted?
I bought data plan into my Skype account since 2014 which I’m still using in 2016. Where is the disconnect for service providers of internet data plans in Nigeria/elsewhere?
So which is it? Is it Internet Data Plan or Internet data Period Charge? Who is responsible that is not paying attention to this cyber fraud?
