The presence of foreigners in the city engaged in mining black gold adds to the glitters and glamour. Three young ladies in their late teens are cut up in the frenzy of the ever waiting young men and young men at heart. Anniel, Tinu and, Mimi had a hand full of men at their beck and call. Their curvy, fully built body made them worthy of contemplation.]**

**[It was a cool windy Saturday early evening, all academics are behind these stunning beauties. It was the week after their final exams. How else will they seem best to savor the glamour of the city than to go to one spot where the air infuses romance.]**

Mimi: *[Speaking flirtatiously]* Girls remember each time we come by this arena, we barely keep the men from having us as desert.

Anniel: We always go home with lots and lots of cash that we don’t even lack.

Tinu: *[A bit hesitant]* Anniel, you’re from a very wealthy family and Mimi, you’re from a middle class family. Of the three of us *[gazing at both of them at interval]* it seems I’m the only one justified to come through this life’s path.

Mimi: *[Speaking sarcastically]* Hey! hold your peace. Who says Anniel and I does not need the money? No mind me joor.*[Comfortingly]* Tinu, we understand how you’re supporting to pay house rent and ensure that all seven of you feed in the house.

Anniel: *[Lack of feelings]* Any how, we’ve been partners in crime all these years, are we going to stop now? *[With air of authority]* I don’t think so!

Tinu: Babes, I’m just saying. *[Pensively]* You girls know this is the only way I can guaranty a ticket to the university. I’ve to save every penny I can but you my friends, have you parents to back you up through university.

**[Everyone in the city seem to be cut up in the euphoria of the early evening soothing wind caresses. Eateries are packed full. Social and business transactions are ongoing. The three beauties decided on the one eatery that exhibit the most aura for the sweetness they feel.]**

**[As they walked in, it seemed as though all the men stopped breathing. The beauties lavishly walk to an available table, with their body fitted, cleavage showing, micro mini gown, browsing the tables for the men that is best soothed for their charm. And the men they got]**

Man 1: *[Chocolate brown skinned, 6 footer with broad shoulders, with Barry tone voice]* What are charming beauties like you doing out here by yourselves?

Anniel: *[Coquettishly]* Who wants to know?

Man 1: *[With a broad smile]* I know you ladies want to be alone but I also know you beauties will enjoy been alone with my friends and I *[pointing to a table across the hall way]*

**[Its almost like the romantic infusion of the day hand picked these 3 men for they are not the type that can be resisted by ladies either. As the ladies walk across, most of the men in the eatery wished they were walking to them or better still that they are the ones walking with them. These beauties sure know how to make the men feel uneasy between their thighs. They parade every endowment nature has bestowed on them. Man 1 walked tall like a winner of a highly priced trophy. His friends at the table could note hide their satisfaction as they waited the presence of the pride of all the men in the eatery.]**

S01E02

**[All 4 walked towards the table as if in a fashion parade. Whether by attraction or in honor of the ladies, the other 2 men stood up simultaneously. One of the men quickly grabbed an additional chair to make the chairs at the table six. All three men waited for the ladies to be seated]**

Man 1: *[Invitingly]* Ladies, let me introduce you. Here is Wyatt, he is a senior expat personnel in the firm I work for. Then meet Jide but I call him JD, he owns a company in the city that keeps him above the rest. *[Sits down]* Maybe one of you guys should introduce me.

Wyatt: *[In his American ascent]* The guy that hosted you ladies to us is Duru, he is also a senior personnel in the firm I work for.

Duru: Hey! Stewing me in my own juice, right?

Jide: *[Patronizingly]* Ladies, we’re highly elated to have you at our table.

Anniel: We are the ladies that gives the paint you guys want to paint the town with.

Wyatt: I love your use of literary.

Duru: So can we meet you ladies?

Mimi: *[Striking a rather seductive pose]* The black beauty of the 3 of us is Tinu. The bold beauty there is Anniel. Maybe one of you babes should introduce me.

Duru: *[Shuckles]* You ladies are really exciting to be with.

Tinu: *[With a blush]* The fairy goddess is by name Mimi.

**[At this point every other lady in the eatery are struggling to have the attention of their male partners. Other ladies knew they had a lot to contend with of the 3 beauties.]**

Wyatt: *[Beckoning at a waiter]* Please come take our orders.

Anniel: *[Focusing at Wyatt]* You must be having ladies jumping on your laps in your country.

Wyatt: *[Flirtatiously]* You can say that again.

Duru: Ladies, give your orders to the waiter.

Mimi: Babes, these guys are really ready for us.

Tinu: I don’t eat too much.

**[They all ate to there full with so much exchange of glances and suggestive body languages. The evening brightness is gradually fading away for when any can fall for the scintillating fauna of lights in the city]**

Duru: *[sitting slouch]* With you ladies, time is of no essence. Never new it’s already 6.45pm.

Mimi: We are all out for the fun of the Saturday fever.

Jide: Do we take it that you ladies don’t mind spending more time with us?

Tinu: What do you have on you mind?

Wyatt: Is it ok we take a ride across the city to a special place?

**[All 3 men appeared to have telepathically decided on which of the ladies to partner with for the rest of the night and the 3 ladies endorsed the respective choices of either of them. Duru to Mimi, Wyatt to Anniel and, Jide to Tinu.]** **[They caused quite a stare as they stepped out of the eatery, headed for a Toyata Praddo SUV parked adjacent to the eatery.]**

Mimi: *[Girls glancing at each other]* Awesome! Babes, these guys are bad!

Jide: *[Click on the auto unlock.]* Ladies, let’s go cruising.

**[Jide walked over to the driver’s side, Duru opened the back passenger door and asked that he gets to the rear seat before the ladies get in. As the ladies get in, Wyatt shut the door and entered the front passenger seat.]** **[Unknown to the rest, Jide’s plan is to drive all to one of the exotic hotels in the city]**

S01E03

**[As they drive along, there is an elongated silence that makes the heart beat of each audible to all. It is a rhythmic sound of fear and excitement. The silence is broken eventually.]**

Mimi: *[Clears throat]* Can we listen to some music as we go?

Tinu: Where exactly are we going?

Anniel: All of a sudden the vibrant guys at the eatery cannot find their tongues?

Wyatt: *[Looking out the window]* JD is the boss with the steering and he does like distractions while driving.

Duru: I wouldn’t want to think that the three of you are scared at the moment. Not to worry beauties, you’re in safe hands.

Tinu: We have checked and you don’t look like guys that will hurt pretty ladies.

Jide: *[With a smile on his face]* It’s 7.15pm and we’re just at the perfect place. Ladies, here is where you beauty belongs.

Anniel: You guys surely have a knack for superior taste. Bravo!

**[All alighted from the SUV. The three men are not strangers to this exotic hotel. Again like at the eatery, this stunning beauties cost quite a commotion as they walk to the reception. They kept heads turning. The three beauties definitely know what there bodies causes and they just flaunt it. Each men where handed keys to their rooms and they proudly walked on with the lady of their choice. Each lady feeling satisfied with the pack of manhood they are walking away with]**

**[In the private room of Duru and Mimi]**

Mimi: You guys must have been coming to this hotel very often.

Duru: *[Lights up the room]* We come around for some few drinks and catch up with some other friends.

**[Both reclined on the bed talked themselves to romantic stupor]**

**[Anniel and Wyatt did not waste anytime going down to where passion will only make them one. As for Tinu and Jide, they exchange pleasantries till they became mood fixed at each other and drank the passion the chill night brought on them]**

Mimi: *[Coming off the romantic trans]* Duru, please let me check on the girls to be sure they are aware of the time.

Duru: it’s just 9.45pm. We’ll take you ladies straight to your respective homes

Mimi: *[Dialing her friends numbers]* We’ll greatly appreciate that. We have to start heading to our respective homes now.

**[Mimi dialed Anniel and Tinu prompting them to come off the passion spell and get ready for them to start heading home. Mimi, Anniel and, Tinu cuddled their men off the passion spell and pleaded with them to allow them go home now. All three men were gentleman enough to concede to the ladies passionate request. It was obvious to the three men that they had had a brew of passion like one they’ve not tasted before. All got dressed up and headed for the hotel reception.]**

**[It is certain that each are subconsciously bringing up to mind the moments they’ve shared together for there is stern silence as they drove away from the hotel.]**

Tinu: please we’ll like to alight at this point. *[All suddenly came out of their fixation.]*

Wyatt: Pilot JD, you want to pull over for the ladies.

Duru: Ladies can we get you numbers? If we may ask.

Jide: *[Pulling on the side]* Come to think of it, we didn’t get you numbers before we left the hotel.

Mimi: I guess you guys got something more desirable than phone numbers

Wyatt: You ladies are full of humor

Anniel: Sorry guys we have a rule of not giving our numbers. Let your desires satisfied tonight make you find us. *[With a wink]*

**[The three ladies came of the SUV and threw kisses at the three gentlemen. They in turn threw complementary kisses at the ladies. The three ladies stood until the SUV drove out of their sight.]

Mimi: Hey! I hope you ladies used your protections.

Anniel: Come on Mimi, we know what we stand to loose should we not use our protection.

Tinu: I can’t afford to trade my place in the university next year for a fling. Should I dear to get pregnant, my father will kill me. The day he finds out I’m into this, I’m done for. As it is I’m thinking of what lie to tell that will cover for my returning late.

Mimi: Just say traffic. We all know how bad traffic has been in town this past few months.

Anniel: Brilliant Mimi. Tinu, I can assure you that will suffice.

**[At this time it is 10.55pm. All three ladies dispersed to their respective homes by use of an Okada. Each got home to face the reaction of their respective parents]**

S01E04
**[Tinu got home, met her father standing behind the door, almost preventing Tinu from stepping into the apartment.]**

Tinu: *[Opens the door into the apartment]* Papa, you’re still awake?

Jimmy: *[Not moving away from the door]*   Will you go back to where you’re coming from!

Tinu: *[Politely]* Papa, I’m sorry. I went out with my friends Mimi and Anniel. I would have been home before now but for the traffic in town.

Jimmy: *[Partially calm]* Tinu, that is a lame excuse. Young lady, if you waste your life out there you’ll have yourself to blame. *[Steps away from the door and walk ahead to the bedroom.]*

**[Tinu stood mood stroke as she watched her father walk away without looking back at her. Her mother at this time had gotten out of the bedroom, stood all along at the door without uttering a word. Father walked pass her straight into the bedroom without glancing at her.]**

**[Mother beckons at Tinu to sit on the sofa. Both sat on the sofa to engage in a mother to daughter chat.]**

Bimpe: Tinu, how old are you now?

Tinu: I’m 18.

Bimpe: And you look good for your age. *[Takes a reassuring posture]* At this time of your life and with the physique nature has endowed on you, you are a lily waiting to be plucked and most men will go at length to have you not as a wife but just for a fling. Your father is worried that you’ll fall victim to such men if you keep keeping late nights.

Tinu: Mum, I only went out with my friends.

Bimpe: Yes Tinu, going out with your friends is very ok but our concern is what you do and where you go with your friends.

Tinu: Mum, please plead with dad on my behalf I don’t like seeing him in the mood he is tonight.

Bimpe: The more reason you should be very careful of how you live your life.

**[Both talked yet some more into the night till they started dozing off on the sofa]**

**[Anniel got to her family’s massively built duplex. She gave the secret call that only the gateman understands. The gateman hurried to the pedestrian gate, open it as if it should not make any sound.]**

Gateman 1: *[In a typical efik ascent]* Welcome small mmaram.

Anniel: Simple, I’ve warned you not to be calling me small madam. Anyway has my mum been waiting for me.

Gateman 1: Big mmaram don come ask plenty times. Umfact big mmaram say make I no let you enter but you know now.

Anniel: *[reaching for her wallet]* Simple, I don’t have much money today but use this N10,000 well.

Gateman 1: Chai! Small mmaram! Small mmaram! God go bless you. You go dey come back late more and more

Anniel: *[With a wave of her right hand as she walks away from the gate]* You’ll be the one to be coming back late more and more.

**[All the while Anniel’s mother was looking through the window of her room with the inner lights out. Anniel catwalk into the living room, up the stairs to her room. Her mother came out of her room to meet Anniel just before she made it to her room.]**

Jane: *[Calling out]* Anniel, Anniel why are you allowing the training I’m giving you fall on deaf ear? Must we talk about this again that you should not be returning home late at night.

Anniel: Mum, I’m sorry I lost track of time. I never wanted to come back this late but I got stuck in traffic.

Jane: You keep coming up with excuses each time for returning home late. You know I’ve been covering you whenever you dad ask about how you’re comporting yourself.

Anniel: *[Appears to be worried]* Mum, please don’t tell dad about this. After the strain of our final exams Mimi, Tinu and, I had to celebrate before we get admitted into different universities.

Jane: I only hope you girls are careful out there so as not to become sexual prey. You know what I mean Anniel.

Anniel: Mum, with three of us together no man can take advantage of us.

Jane: *[Holding Anniel on her shoulder]* I can’t wait for your dad to bring his business back to Nigeria. His stay in South Africa is not helping much with your up bringing.

Anniel: *[Hugging her mum]* Mum, you’re doing a good job and I’ll not let you down.

**[They hugged for a while as if not to let go]**

Jane: *[Breaking the hug]*Anniel, it’s gone past mid-night already. Go have your bath and go to bed.

Anniel: *[Stepping back to her room]* Good night, love you mum!

**[Anniel walked into her room while mother stood watching her go. She thought of all the struggle she had come through in an effort to instill in her moral decency. She smiled in self approval as though she is satisfied that her labor has not been in vain. She walk back to her room for a good night sleep]**

**[Mimi’s entrant to the compound was announced by the balk of the security dog in the compound of four block of flats. The security man, an elderly man, quickly new she most be the one.]**

Gateman 2: *[Opens gate as Mimi steps in]* My daughter, like you parents, I’m worried about your coming back home late at night very often.

Mimi: *[With an air of respect]* I know papa but don’t worry I’m fine.

Gateman 2: *[As he locks the gate]* You young girls of these days are always so self confident that you don’t know when you’re getting into trouble.

Mimi: *[With a bow of respect]* Sir, I appreciate you loving concern for me.

**[The security man returns to the security house beside the gate. Mimi hurried up to her family apartment in hopes that her elder brother would not be mad at her. Her elder brother, already infuriated at her returning late was waiting in the living room.]**

Phil: *[Angrily rush towards the door as Mimi walks in through the door, with his back right palm raised against Mimi.]* If I whoos you slap now, you’ll call a wicked brother. *[Still visibly angry]* Mimi, you’re pushing your freedom too far. You think because mum and dad are out on vacation gives you the license to throw caution to the wind. You’re mistaking!

Mimi: *[Gives a taming smile]*Big brother Africa, which one now. You’ve forgotten the number of times I’ve covered for you. I beg no fall big brother Africa hand nah. You no say nah we dey run things as mum & dad are on vacation.

Phil: Mimi, look don’t go there at all! That you cover for me in the past does not give you the liberty to be coming back late more so that mum and dad are not home.

Mimi: *[Without listening]* Big brother Africa, I’m tired and I need to be on my bed this moment. *[She walks away to her room]*

**[All three ladies successful covered their escapade of passionate infusion.]**

S01E05

**[Day in day out, week in week out and, month in month out these three always find a way to connect. The trio had gotten hooked on a life style of hanging out with men waiting for the next ladies they’ll be opportune with. However, the trio still take time to hang in with their academics as their entrant examination into the university is just some couple of months away]**

Tinu: *[As they sit on lawn grass underneath a tree at a park]* Mimi and Anniel, we seem to be having great fun beyond our wildest dreams and our bodies seem to be craving more. With four months to our entrance examination, I’m of the opinion we stop hanging out but start hanging in with our academics.

Anniel: I must say that God really spent a lot of time creating the three of us. Look at it – we’ve the perfect body, unavoidable beautiful face and, an active brain. Brain and beauty!

Mimi: If we keep our body and brain to our books these four months, there is no way we cannot make the cut off mark required for our respective choice of discipline.

Tinu: I really want to be the most beautiful and best lawyer ever known in town.

Anniel: *[Stands up and takes a walk of honor]* Both of you are before the future most beautiful and most enterprising CEO of my dad’s company in South Africa.

Mimi: *[She stood up pulled Anniel down and take her own walk of honor]* With a BSc in Linguistic Studies and a MSc in International Relations, this friend of yours will be the most beautiful and best ambassador the country will ever have.

Tinu: *[She also stood and pull Anniel down]* As the best lawyer to be, I should also take my walk of honor.

**[All three ladies seem to be fixated at this time on their future careers until they spotted some young men walk into the park]**

Mimi: Babes, is it just me? Can you see those guys that just got to the park?

Anniel: They are so fresh and handsome. *[Dreamingly]* Look at those physique. They’re to die for.

Tinu: [Irritated]* Hold it girls! We’ve just mentioned that we should keep our bodies and brain in our books. Where is this romantic impulse coming from?

Mimi: *[Defensive]* Tinu, maybe I should get you a cane so you can cane us. Reading our books does not mean we’ll take our eyes away from what makes us feel the sweetness of our feminine self.

Anniel: Abba! Tinu, just talking about the guys will not kill our brains.

Tinu: Babes, I just don’t want the female attraction in us to get the better of us this moment we’re deciding on putting our heads to our books, that’s all.

Mimi: Ok, what will you do if the guys are not able to resist us and decides to walk over just this moment?

Tinu: No! Mimi you tell me, what will you do?

Mimi: I’ll just have one of them as my teddy bear to hold on to, chikena.

Anniel: Mimi is right. What is the use of been in a park looking at some bunch of guys and not having them as our head rest.

Tinu: In that case we better leave the park.

Mimi: *[Nodding in approval]* I agree let’s leave this guys burning in anticipation for what they’ll never have.

Anniel: *[Stands up coquettishly]* As you walk off the park, don’t forget to shake your blessing so as to put this guys a in state of shock.

Tinu: Whatever. Anniel, can we get back to your home I’m having the morning sickness.

**[At any rate the guys on the other hand have taking note of the three beauties but decided to play hard to get. It seem like a passion challenge as both sexes flaunt their natural charm. The ladies with a show of their most feminine selves with the guys making a counter show of their most masculine selves. This was going on as the ladies walked out of the park.]**

Guy 1: *[Raising his polo to flaunt his six pack]* You ladies think you’re the only ones with stuffs to flaunt. Check this out!

Mimi: *[Turning to face the guys, pulling down the neck of her top ]* That is nothing compared to these. I have seen eight packs so don’t fool yourself.

Guy 2: You ladies could have simply walked over so we can rule our worlds.

Anniel: We don’t waste time with guys that do not own up to what they feel. Losers!

Tinu: Mimi, Anniel, why are you girls burning these guys? Mimi, you’re the one that announced their entrant into the park. Anniel, you saw their physique as something “to die for” *[Pulling on both of them]* You ladies just have to give it to the guys, they’re attractively built but we’ve decided.

Mimi: *[With a bow towards the guys]*We give it to you guys for the queen has spoken.

**[The trio walked off the park straight to where academics will make their dreams realities. ]**

S01E06

**[Anniel’s father has a different plan for her. Anniel had to inform her friends of her father’s decision even though it may not go down well with the three. He demanded that Anniel comes over to South Africa to continue her studies. At this time Tinu who is already putting up with Anniel seem to be disturbed the most. Anniel is the host of their staying indoors to read for the entrance exam.]**

Anniel: *[Sitting pensively]* Babes, my dad had insisted I come over to SA to continue my education. I thought I could talk him out of it but he kept insisting.

Mimi: it’s good news but saddening. We’ll miss you so so much. Hmmm, the three musketeers disbanded just like that! So it will just be Tinu and I studying in preparation of our exams.

Anniel: Babes, it’s still one for all and all for one. My departure to SA does not break our bond in anyway. Don’t forget social media makes keeping in touch real time and distance is of no essence

Tinu: *[Rather sad]* So I’ll be all alone in this big room that both of us share.

Anniel: *[Sympathizing with Tinu]* Tinu, you need not be troubled. You’re like a sister to me now. Since your incident, my mum has practically taking you as her daughter.

**[Anniel’s mother returned from shopping for Anniel’s departure to SA. The three beauties paid no attention that the door to the living room swung open and close.]**

Jane: *[Calling out to Anniel]* Anniel, Anniel I’m back. Please come help take these to you room.

**[All three girls dashed out of the room excitedly]**

Anniel: *[Hurriedly went for a particular shopping bag]* Mum, did you pick up those fitted gowns I mentioned to you? You know I’ll have to be attending those cocktails with dad

Jane: *[With a stern warning index finger pointed at Anniel]* Now listen young lady, should I get any ulterior report from your dad, I’ll be right there to bring you back to Nigeria myself.

Anniel: Mum, I only meant that I’ve to represent you the best I can.

Jane: I am not asking you that favor. *[Turns attention to Mimi and Tinu who just stood watching the drama]* Tinu, Mimi never mind Anniel with her show. Mimi, how are your parents? Tinu, have you been able to speak to your parents after the incident?

Tinu, Mimi never mind Anniel with her show. Mimi, how are your parents? Tinu, have you been able to speak to your parents after the incident?

Tinu: *[As if recoiling]* My parents have shut me out of their life’s. My mum picks my call occasionally but will not relate much because of my dad.

Jane: Not to worry my dear they’ll come round someday. Just don’t hurt yourself emotionally because of your condition.

**[The three quickly grab a baggage each and headed for Anniel’s room while Anniel’s mother walked to her room]**

Mimi: *[Tagging along]* Mam, we can’t thank you enough for your moral and loving support to our friend. How I wish her parents are as understanding as you are.

Jane: You girls don’t appreciate the pain you put parents through when you live the way you do. *[Another stern index finger pointed at Anniel]* Anniel, don’t you ever think that your staying away at SA will reduce my surveillance over you. *[Tapping Anniel’s shoulder as she walks away]* I’ve got my eyes on you!

Anniel: *[Shrug her shoulders as she steps backwards]* Mum!

**[Both Mimi and Tinu had a grim on their faces. All three now left with the baggages in hand]** **[As they sat back in the room Anniel spared little or no time ransacking the baggages before Tinu came up with her concerns.]**

Tinu: *[Letting off the baggage as she sat back on the bed]* Girls, nothing will stop me from my university education, nothing! Not even my condition.

Mimi: What’s on your mind girl. Spill it out.

Anniel: *[Sitting closer to Tinu]* Tinu, even though you are young and not ready for it, I know you cherish your condition. I hope you’re not thinking negatively of it now.

Mimi: Let her talk.

Tinu: *[Stands up and turn around]* Look at me, it seem like my life is in a mess. I carry the guilt of the three of us.

Mimi: *[Placing her right hand on Tinu’s right shoulder reassuringly]* Tinu, it’s not ok for you to think and feel the way you do. It could have been anyone of us in your condition. *[Stands by side Tinu’s left shoulder]* Remember we’re all in this together so we’re all in this condition together.

Tinu: My friends, its really disturbing. A month after our entrance examination, I’ll be relieved of this condition. *[Pulling on Anniel and Mimi to sit on the bed with her]* My parents have abandoned me, Anniel is going away to SA, and I’ve to be in the university.

Anniel: I can appreciate how you feel, Tinu. In your condition you need your mum but she sparingly communicate with you.

Mimi: You definitely must go to the university for you’ve done so much not to actualize it.

Tinu: I’ve gotten enough saved up that can carter for my university education for the first two years but what happens after that is what I don’t know.

Anniel: Tinu, I promise I’ll speak to my mum so that she can arrange something with my dad. You might end up not even using up your savings at all.

Tinu: Anniel, your family have been wonderful to me since they allowed me move in with you. Truly, there hadn’t been any difference in the way they’ve treated both of us. And you want to bring this up with them again? I feel it will be too much.

Anniel: Tinu, leave that to me. You just take good care of your condition.

Mimi: Tinu, you’ll be just fine. Be rest assured.

Tinu: It’s a big challenge managing my condition and it will be worse off when my condition changes from this while in the university.

Mimi: *[Stepping away from the two and tuning around]* Tinu, you’ll not have to manage anything worse if we can just come up with a very good plan.

Tinu: Do you have such a good plan?

Mimi: *[Tapping her temple with her fingers]* I can’t think of one right now. Why don’t three of us give some thought to it. Am sure our brains won’t find that difficult. Or what do you girls think?

Anniel: Perfect! *[Stands up]* Mimi, remember this Saturday it will be your turn hosting us to read. So we’ve got three days to come up with a plan.

Tinu: Both of you just made it appear I really will be fine. Thanks to both of you anyway. I must say that my head is void of thinking on any plan under this condition not to talk of a very good one.

Mimi: Don’t border. Just allow Anniel and I to do the thinking.

Anniel: Tinu, it’s friendship for good times and for bad times.

**[The trio did a little more reading before Mimi had to take her leave. As much as they read a little more, there minds were pondering what the “very good plan” will be. Even Tinu who thought she cannot give thought to it did ponder on it. They’ve gotten till there next scheduled reading rendezvous to come up with a “very good plan]**

S01E07

**[Anniel and Tinu walked back from seeing off Mimi down the road after she boarded an Okada. Tinu was so full of thoughts and visibly worried]**

Anniel: Tinu, lately your condition has made you so withdrawn.

Tinu: Its not just my condition. I’m worried about home. I can’t stop thinking of how my siblings are coping, what my mum might be going through emotionally because of my not being at home in my present condition.

Anniel: *[Tapping on the gate to be opened and calling on the gateman]* Simple, please open the gate.

Gateman 1: *[Opens the door.]* Small mmaram, welcome. *[Anniel and Tinu stepped into the compound]* Umm small mmaram no vex, e don stay rong wen u give Simpre dash. I pray say make this change no change for your side. Nfat this your friend dey fine everyday.

**[Anniel and Tinu did not pay any hid to the gateman. They just moved on.]**

Gateman 1: Chai, this change don change everything.

Anniel: *[Focusing on Tinu]* Tinu, you’ve moved in with me for three months now and I can tell when you really which you can do something more to help but ……….

Tinu: *[Cutting Anniel midway in her speech]* No Anniel, I’m feeling so guilty within me. My dad is blaming my mum for my condition but my mum have been protective of me.

Anniel: So why not call you mum and tell her how you feel.

Tinu: She is so scared of my dad that she won’t dare to talk to when my dad is at home.

Anniel: Then call her when your dad is likely yet from work. In fact you can call her right now, your dad may not be home as yet. It’s just 5pm.

Tinu: I’ll do just that right now.

**[By this time Anniel and Tinu walked to the back of the building to have some privacy. Tinu place a call through to her mother who picked the call just after the third ring]]**

Tinu: *[In a telephone conversation with her mum]* Mum, it’s Tinu. How are you and my younger ones? How is dad?

Bimpe: *[Tried to speak clearly but occasionally clears throat to hide her emotions]* They’ve not stopped asking of your whereabout. Dele keeps asking me *[Clears throat]* when you’ll come tell him stories.

Tinu: Is papa back from work?

Bimpe: *[Not knowing what to answer, she skipped the question]* Aduke is not back from hawking bread. Iyabo *[clears throat]*just went across the road to meet mama Obinna.

Tinu: I know Dele most be playing outside as usual.

Bimpe: *[Clears throat]* Folarin is fetching water from the well. The pumping matching got damaged. *[Clears throat]* Everyone in the compound is feeling less concerned.

Tinu: *[Anniel gesturing at her to express her feelings]* Mum, I know dad must be putting you through so much because of my condition. Please pardon me and dad. You have been a mum that have giving me the best of training but the part I choose have brought this condition on me.

Bimpe: Tinu, I don’t know where I went wrong as a mother but I know God will be with you. I have been pleading with your dad to allow you come back home. *[clears throat]* He keeps reminding me that your condition is shameful and a disgrace.

Tinu: Mum, God will be with you also. I will want to correct this shame and disgrace my condition has brought but it has not been easy for me.

Bimpe: God will bless your friend and her parents who have allowed you put up with them this 3 months already.

Tinu: *[Gesturing at Anniel]* Mum, I’say amen! on their behalf. They’ve truly been kind to me. They allow me use their family hospital for monthly checks. Mum, I’ll have to end this call now before dad returns from work. I’ll not want him to treat you harshly on my account.

Bimpe: *[Clears throat, tried to speak clear until the tone of her voice becomes tearful]* Your dad has been home since morning he only went out this morning.

Tinu: Is he on leave?

Bimpe: *[She sobs as she talks]* Your dad stopped going to work last month. His work stopped *[sobs]* He only came back home with his months salary, no benefit after working for 15 years as a contract staff in the company.

Tinu: *[Almost dropping her phone]* Mum! You kept this from me all this while! *[She could barely hold her tears]* Mum, mum, mum why?

**Tinu could hardly continue with the conversation as her mum cried profusely at the other end of the conversation as much as she is on her end. Anniel had to take the phone from her and end the call.]**

Anniel: *[Consoling Tinu]* No Tinu, you have to come off it. You don’t need to handle this in your condition.

**[Anniel’s mother overhead Tinu crying and urged Anniel to brink her up to her room. Anniel’s mother quickly put a call through to their family doctor to come attend to her]**

**[Mimi got home just in time for dinner. The gateman did not waste time commending her]**

Gateman 2: *[As he opens the gate for Mimi to get in]* My daughter, I’m happy you don’t come back late anymore. In fact if you continue like this you’ll have my blessing.

Mimi: *[Hurriedly walkaway]* Baba, thank you sir!

**[Mimi met her father, mother and, elder brother on the dining table.]**

Frank: Just on time! *[Beckon on Mimi to come to the dining]* I hope you ladies settled down to a good study for your university entrance exam is barely a month away.

Phil: *[As Mimi pulls a chair at the dining]* Mimi is becoming a good girl lately.

Mimi: *[Melodramatic]* Big brother Africa, please don’t get on my case.

Phil: It’s a commendation. You can at least say “thank you”. *[Mimi faced her palm at Phil indicative of ‘stop’.]*

Suzzy: That’s ok young man and Mimi stop the rude attitude.

**[Mimi attempted making a remark but her mother signaled her to stop. Their father Chuckles at the drama before him. All ate the pounded yam and egusi soup to satisfaction]**

**[After diner Mimi quickly cleared and wash up the dishes, hurried to take her shower before her favorite program on DSTV channel commences. Father went for a glass of wine at the bar in the living. Mother went to the room to recline awhile. Mimi’s elder brother had something else on his mind. As soon as Mimi finished having her bath, he did not waste any time registering what’s on his mind before Mimi gets engrossed on her favorite DSTV channel program.]**

Phil: *[knocks on the door to Mimi’s room]*. Mimi, can I come in?

Mimi: Yes big brother.

Phil: *[Takes a long breathe]* I’ve always like the aroma of this your body lotion.

Mimi: stop patronizing me and go to the point of why you’re asking to come into my room.

Phil: *[Sits on the only chair in Mimi’s room]* Kid sister, you don’t even spare me. You forget I’m your elder brother. *[Gives a slimy smile]* It’s about your friend Anniel.

Mimi: What about her?

Phil:   I think I’m interested in her.

Mimi: *[Not surprised]* I knew it will come to that. I see the way you clue your eyes on her whenever she comes visiting. Well for you information, by next week she’ll be leaving Naija for SA. Her father have decide she comes over to finalize her education.

Phil: That should not stop you from connecting me. Who says it’s wrong to have a babe that’s in SA.

Mimi: I’m not promising anything. You can take your chance with her when she comes on Saturday. I’m hosting our reading rendezvous.

Phil: *[With feeling of excitement]* Awesome! You mean the other of your friend, Tinu, will also be coming in her condition?

Mimi: Yes

**[They all had their personal time doing what they enjoy doing before going to bed]**

**[Its day break the following day. Anniel’s mother came over to Anniel’s room to check on Tinu]**

Jane: *[Sits beside Tinu on the big bed]* Tinu, how are you this morning?

Tinu: *[Yawning and talking]* Good morning ma. I’m very ok ma. Thanks very much. I hope I didn’t put you through lot of anxiety yesterday.

Anniel: *[Getting off the bed]* Good morning mum. You’re up so early.

Jane: Tinu, you got me so worried with the way she reacted at the phone conversation with your mum. Your mum will be emotionally disturbed too.

Tinu: I’ve not stopped thinking of her myself.

Anniel: Ok messiah girl, you have yourself to worry about. Whatever you feel, just remember your condition.

**[Anniel’s mother left to allow Anniel and Tinu wake up to the daybreak. Both ladies got to tidying up the home but Anniel makes sure Tinu does the minutest task. They also got breakfast ready]**

Anniel: My father had booked my mum and I flight to SA for Wednesday next week. My mum is arranging a sent forth party for my friends to attend. *[Tinu sat rather unresponsive]* Tinu, did you hear a word of what I said?

Tinu: It still has not registered on me that you’re actually relocating to SA. Wait a minute, if you and your mum leave on Wednesday I need to get somewhere else to stay.

Anniel: My mum and I have worked it all out already. My mum is only going to be away for two nights. *[Tinu brightens up]* My mum is so concerned about your condition that she had discussed with her cousin who leaves at the other side of town and she has agreed to have you put up with her until my mum returns on Friday evening.

Tinu: *[As both walk to set the table for breakfast]* You mean your mum had arranged that already!? I really cannot thank your mum enough.

Jane: *[Steps out to the living room[*. Are you girls ready with breakfasts? I need to be out early enough to meet a client.

Anniel: *[Coming with the last dish to the dining]* Mum, please you can come to the dining.

**[All three sat down to a breakfast of boiled yam and vegetable sauce. Tinu took the moment on the dining to express her feelings to Anniel’s mum.]**

Tinu: Mam, we Yoruba’s will greet “eku itoju” which means “weldon for taking care of me”. Anniel told me the arrangement you’ve made on my behalf as both of you will be traveling Wednesday next week. *[she knelt down on her knees as is typical in Yoruba tradition.]* Mam, I do not know how to thank you enough but I can only say that God will bless you for the love you have been showing me.

Jane: *[Urging Tinu to stand up]* Tinu, please sit back on the chair. You should not be doing that in you condition.

Tinu: *[Sitting back on her chair]* It’s the only way I can express the depth of my appreciation for all you’ve been doing for me.

Anniel: Mum don’t mind her she is doing like one village girl.

**[Anniel’s mum finished her breakfast hurriedly and left to meet up with her client. Anniel and Tinu took sometime to chat at the dining.]**

Anniel: Tinu what do you think, I intend to invite all our former classmates to my send forth party.

Tinu: it will not be a bad idea. It will be like a reunion after our final exam. Will you invite any of the guys that have been flocking around you?

Anniel: No. I want it to be strictly for former classmates. I’ll be telling Mimi when we get to her place on Saturday.

Tinu: *[Starts clearing the dining]* Anniel what do think, I really want to speak with my dad now that I know he has lost his job.

Anniel: *[As both clear the dishes to the kitchen]* I agree with you. Why don’t you sit down and make the call while I clear the remaining dishes.

**[Tinu dialed her father’s mobile number, it rang but Tinu’s father ignored the call till it rang off. Tinu redialed but this time her father switched off his phone.]**

Tinu: *[Holding her mobile phone out surprised]* I can’t believe my father just switched off his on phone me.

Anniel: *[Walk back quickly from the kitchen]* Tinu, don’t you start now. I cannot manage any crises like my mum would. So please do not brood over that now.

Tinu: Oh no Anniel, I’m ok. It just got me thinking how much my dad has rejected me.

Anniel: Hey! that reminds me. Remember we agreed we have to come up with a good plan with regards to you condition this Saturday.

Tinu: Well that’s an assignment for you and Mimi. My head is full at the moment and my condition is not making it any easy for me.

**[Tinu without notifying Anniel decided to call her mothers mobile.]

Anniel: Do you think your dad switched on his phone that you’re redialing him?

Tinu: I’m dialing my mum’s instead.

Anniel: Promise me you’re not going to end up crying like you did yesterday.

Tinu: No. I told you I’m ok.

**[Tinu mother’s mobile phone rang but her father urged her not to answer the call]**

Jimmy: *[With a stern look on his face]* If that is Tinu calling you, you better not answer the call or else.

**[The phone rang off. Tinu redialed the number and her mother attempted picking up the call]**

Jimmy: Woman, you’re daring me right!? *[He snatched the mobile phone from her and switched it off]*

**[Tinu was shocked at what just happened for she could hear the voice of her father at the background before he switched off the mobile phone.]**

**[Back at home Tinu’s mother could not take the attitude any longer that she almost reacted violently]**

Bimpe: *[Snatched the mobile phone from her husband]* What is the matter with you! Do not think because I’m keeping quiet that I cannot handle you. *[Angrily]* Yes Tinu’s condition is disgraceful and shame but it does not change the fact that she is our daughter. *[Starts dialingon Tinu’s  mobile phone]* I’m going to call her and if you dare snatch the phone from me again, you’ll get what I’ve been holding back on all this while.

**[As Tinu’s phone rang through, her father quietly picked up a shirt and went on outside. Tinu was relieved that her mother returned her call. She quickly picked up the call.]**

Bimpe: Tinu, ‘Adumaradan’ *[in Nigeria Yoruba dialect]*, black beauty. How are you?

Tinu: *[Speak calmly]* Mum, I’m ok. How are you? Dad’s anger at my condition has not come to remission. I hope my siblings did not hear both of your out burst of anger.

Bimpe: Well they did. Your father is pushing this whole shame and disgrace too far. I can’t take it any longer. Tinu, please dail back. I’m prompted that my airtime will soon elapse.

**[The service provider dropped the call. As Tinu started dialing her mother, Anniel beckoned on her that they should get to the room.]**

Tinu: *[Back on the call.]* Mum please don’t loose your good nature on my account. You’ve been loving and respectful of my dad even in his excesses. That is a quality I’ve learned from you.

Bimpe: Don’t worry, your dad and I will talk things over.

Tinu: Mum, I’ll transfer some money to your account so you can add more articles of trade to what you can sell.

**[Their call ended this time with no exchange of cry. Tinu felt relieved after the call. Anniel and Tinu settled to studying their books.]**

S01E09

**[Tinu’s mother find a way of giving back her husband’s honor as he walked back to the house visibly upset.]**

Bimpe: *[With an endearing smile]* Oloori mi *[Nigeria Yoruba dialet]* My head, you are angry.

Jimmy: *[Not wanting to be petted]* No I should be smiling. You looked straight into my eyes and dared me. Your parents most hear this.

Bimpe: Oloori mi, how can I dare you. I was only pleading that you reconsider you position with regards to our daughter Tinu and let her return home.

Jimmy: You could have simply say so instead of the melodrama you put up.

Bimpe: I’m sorry I did not use “my neck well”. I promise it will not happen again.

Jimmy: You did not use you neck well, is that your excuse? We’ll talk about Tinu but not today.

**[Tinu’s mother is convinced she has giving back her husband’s respect. As they went on discussing other family matters, a text message entered Tinu’s mother phone. It was an account credit alert of N20,000 from Tinu.]**

Jimmy: *[Jokingly]* If that text message is not bringing money, you better delete it.

Bimpe: Ah, the text is bringing money. *[extended her phone]* See Tinu has credited my account with N20,000.

Jimmy: *[Extending his right faced out palm at his wife]* Now wait! Is Tinu paying you to talk me into changing my mind? *[Confused looks]* And where is she getting that kind of money from? I hope she is not stealing from whoever is harboring.

Bimpe: She said she’ll send me money to add to my business.

Jimmy: And you did not ask her where she is getting the money from. You women and money. *[Shakes head]* Wait! Are you and your daughter taking away my role as the family head? Is all this happening because I’ve lost my job?

Bimpe: Abba! Baba Tinu, how can you say something like that. You daughter is only concerned and wants to help. At least we can thank her.

Jimmy: Concerned, help, thank her. It’s your account she sent the money so it’s you that should thank her.

**[As they are conversing amongst themselves, Tinu’s call rang through on her mother’s phone.]**

Bimpe: *[Pick the call]* ‘Adumaradan’ *[Niegeria Yoruba dialet]* black beauty, you’re the true daughter of your father. Thank you, I got the alert just before your call came through

Tinu: Mum, please give papa N5,000 and use the rest for your business. Is papa with you? Can I speak to him?

Bimpe: *[Stare at Tinu’s father who nodded to indicate ‘no’.]* Your father cannot talk to you now. He’ll call you later but I’ll deliver your message.

Tinu: *[Before ending the call.]* Please my love to my siblings I’ll speak to them later today. **[Tinu’s mother say a prayer of blessing for Tinu. Tinu appreciatively say amen before both ended the the call]**

**[At Mimi’s home both parents have gone out for their daily business engagement. Mimi and her elder brother are back at home]**

Phil:   *[Walked to where Mimi is reading]* Mimi, your entrance exam is next week. I’m sure you have prepared very well. Let me start to wish you success because you’ve really painstakingly studied for your exam. *[Pull a chair closer]* I’m impressed that after series of hanging out you can really settle down to study for your exams.

Mimi: *[Closed up her book in the meantime.]* Big brother Africa, thank you very much. I learned from the best, you. I also have the kind of future I desire in focus. The same thing goes for my two best friends, Tinu and Anniel. In fact, we’re not settling for less in our exam results for we can’t afford to stay a year without entering our university of choice.

Phil: Thanks for the complement Mimi. When you don’t fight me, you’re a nice sister. *[Rethought-fully]* That reminds me. You said Anniel is leaving to SA to further her studies.

Mimi: Yes

Phil: Are both of your friends still coming on Saturday?

Mimi: Yes. You’ve just reminded me. I’ve to go get something special as I plan to give them a treat

Phil: Mimi, do not forget our deal with regards your friend Anniel.

Mimi: She is all yours when she gets here on Saturday but make sure you don’t distract us from our study. However, if you ask me I’ll advice you don’t get involve with her.

Phil: Why will you advice against my having a relationship with her?

Mimi: I just don’t feel she is right for you. Moreover, she is leaving to SA and it’s not certain if she’ll be returning.

Phil: *[Stands up to walk away]* With the way ‘change’ is hitting our country, it will not be a bad idea having someone outside this ‘change’ environment.

Mimi: *[Reopen her book]* Big brother Africa! You’re really mapping out your future! I’m imagining you and Anniel as husband and wife, it may not be a bad idea. So Anniel will become my sister in-law.

Phil: Look at you, you’ve started dreaming beyond me. *[Put hand on Mimi’s shoulder]* Lil Sis, keep your dream alive. Let me go check on some of my peeps.

**[Mimi continued with her study while her elder brother left home]**

**[Anniel and Tinu are also sitting back to study but Tinu is struggling because of her condition.]**

Tinu: I’m feeling so tired and heavy. I can’t wait for this condition to pass away. I pray it does not happen before writing our exam. I need to eat something now.

Anniel: Let me quickly microwave the pizza so you can have some along with the orange juice *[walk away to the kitchen as they continue conversing]*

Tinu: I transferred 20k to my mum. I told her to give 5k to my dad and use 15k for her trade.

Anniel: Tinu, you’re worthy of emulation. You can still show this much care after your dad treated you like an outcast.

Tinu: I know my dad loves me so much but was only disappointed that I brought disrepute to our family name. *[Anniel walk back with a small tray of pizzas and additional pack of juice]* I know my dad is pained at his reaction toward my condition but his pride will not allow him admit openly.

Anniel: Tinu, I think I’m having a crush on Mimi’s brother.

Tinu: Crush?

Anniel: Yes! I’ll call it a crush because I don’t seem to know why I’m getting attracted to him.

Tinu: Maybe if you get close you’ll know why.

Anniel: Get close? When I’m leaving to SA already? Let me experience what the guys at SA are like, if I still have these strange feelings then who knows.

Tinu: It will be nice if you and Mimi become sisters in-law. You just think of it.

Anniel: *[With a meditative smiling grim]* Let the future border about that.

Tinu: So how have been hiding away from your crush the times we go to Mimi’s place to read?

Anniel: You know how we’ve been rolling nah. The guys have to show that they have the nerve to approach us. Mimi’s brother seem not to be having the nerve.

Tinu: You cannot be so sure. He may just be holding back because you’re his sister’s friend. I see he has more than the nerve you’re looking for.

Anniel: He is good looking though but he acts as if he is seeing through the window when he looks at me and that reaches me somehow.

Tinu: You mean like he does not see you to be his type? Babe, you’re hot there is no guy that will just gloss over you. He is just taking his time.

Anniel: Now you are sounding as if he has been telling you things at my back.

Tinu: *[Stands as if to demonstrate]* With those hips of yours that doesn’t lie, he’ll come tumbling. You want to bet?

Anniel: All three of us have hips that doesn’t lie, why will mine be more of his attention.

Tinu: You don’t seem to get it. Mimi is his sister and look at my condition. So of the three of us you’re the right candidate for his attention. You just admitted he is an attractive guy and you he is the type most girls will want to be with.

Anniel: Ok miss counselor. Let’s round up a topic each before we brain storm to see how well we’ve understood each of the topics.

Tinu: I’ll keep a close eye on both of you when we’re at Mimi’s home tomorrow.

Anniel: Now I’m not asking you to create a seen tomorrow. I only said it’s a crush nothing more.

Tinu: Yes mam.

**[They both rounded up the last topic of the day and had a meaningful brain storming section. The day ended real fast with attention given to the task at close of day. It was a restful night to usher in a bright new day.]**

S01E10

**[Anniel and Tinu quickly cared for the morning chores, took breakfast and headed to Mimi’s home who is already in anticipation of their arrival. While on their way, Anniel put a call through to Mimi notifying her that they are on the way already. Since Mimi was in the bathroom, her elder brother had to pick the call as Mimi’s phone is in the living room]**

Phil: *[Picked Mimi’s phone set ringing on the side stool]* Hello Anniel, this is Phil on the phone. Mimi is the bathroom at the moment, do you want to leave a message?

Anniel: *[Some form of excitement in her tune]* Hi Phil, thanks for picking Mimi’s call. Please let her know we’re on our way and will be there in 30 minutes.

Phil: *[Excited]* I surely will let her know. Anniel, you have this kind of feminine appeal on the phone. Your voice just sound kinda tractive.

**[Anniel out of share excitement unconsciously ended the call.]**

Anniel: *[Hold up her phone as she stare at Tinu]* Excuse me! Where is that coming from?

Tinu: *[Look back at Anniel confused]* How do you mean?

Anniel: Is it just my thought sounding out to me or I just heard Mimi’s brother wooing me on the phone?

**[Mimi’s brother continued for while before realizing Anniel had hung up.]**

Phil: Hello, hello Anniel. *[Drop the phone]* Did I say what I shouldn’t have? Could I have blown my chance?

Mimi: *[Open the door to her room]* My phone rang, who was it?

Phil: It was Anniel. She said they’ll be here in 30 minutes. Anniel hang the call on me.

Mimi: *[Walk over to collect her phone]* You must have said something to her. What did you say to her. *[Paused]*

Phil: I only spoke to her the way a gentleman should speak to a lady.

Mimi: *[Continues back to her room]* Hmmm, big brother Africa, I’m suspecting you.

**[Back in her room Mimi dialed Anniel’s phone number. Anniel is hesitant to pick the call as she assumes it is Mimi’s brother dailing back. Mimi redialed the number but this time Anniel picked]**

Mimi: Hey! Girlfriend, I was in the bathroom when your call rang through. I’m just creaming up. I be ready before you girls get here. How is Tinu coping?

Anniel: *[Smiling at Tinu]* She is here, you’ll see how she is coping when we get to your place.

Mimi: Please tell the cab driver not to drive rough that he has a delicate lady in his cab. *[ended the call]*

**[Back at Tinu parent’s home everyone is taking on different task for the day. It’s a weekend, expecting there may like be visitors to their home. Tinu’s immediate younger sibling took her mother in confidence]]**

Aduke: *[Joins mother in dusting the furnitures]* Mum, its almost 9 months that Tinu had been sent out of the house. Is dad not going to change his position?

Bimpe: *[Reasurringly]* Aduke, try not to worry much about that. Your dad at the right time will change his position. We’ll wait on him.

Aduke: The last time I spoke with Tinu, she was full of blessings and praise for you and dad. I wish dad will allow her back home soon. *[Collect dusting towel from her mother]* I’m really missing her.

Bimpe: *[As she walks to the kitchen]* We’re all missing her. Let me check what’s on the fire.

**[Mimi and her friends had settled down to reading. Tinu’s condition is challenging her concentration span]**

Tinu: Girls! I need to eat something.

Mimi: Anniel, how are you coping with her eating spree at home?

Anniel: I’m equal to the task. Before she ask, I’m putting the food in front of her. Even my mum will not tolerate her getting hungry.

Tinu: Are both of you kidding me? Please Mimi, go to the fridge and get this hungry me something to eat before I eat the two of you.

Mimi: Roger, your highness.

Anniel: *[As Mimi walks out of the room]*. Is Mimi’s brother at home at all?

Tinu: Sorry you’re asking the wrong person. Are you sure it’s only a crush you’re having. I see something more in your eyes. You better own up to it.

Mimi: *[Walks back to her room with packs of juices and snacks]* What are you girls gossiping about at my back?

Tinu: Anniel, now you have your opportunity to ask.

Mimi: Ok lets just take a little brake to refresh our brains. Anniel, what happened when my brother picked my call from you?

Anniel: *[Taking by surprise]* Hmmm, you brother was overly nice to me on the phone.

Mimi: Overly nice? How do you mean? You have to break it down.

Tinu: Anniel is acting as if she cannot handle been treated nicely by a gentleman.

Anniel: Please lets change channel. Mimi, my mother is planning a send forth party for me next week Wednesday. The same evening I’ll be departing to SA.

Mimi: *[Excitedly]* That’s going to be groovy. Have you made your list of invitees? We’ll have Tinu open the floor. It will be real fun to watch her rock the floor in her condition.

Tinu: You know I’ve always been the best dancer of the three of us and don’t just feel my condition will make any difference now.

**[Anniel asked to get more snacks. She stumbled at Phil in the living room who happens to be going to help himself with some snack and juice at the same moment.]**

Phil: *[As both headed to the kitchen.]* Hi Anniel, how are you ladies getting on with your studies?

Anniel: *[Striking a ladylike pose]* We sure are getting better prepared for our exams.

Phil: I learnt you’ll be leaving to SA to further your education.

Anniel: Yes

Phil: So you’ll be taking your beauty from us.

Anniel: Oh know, my beauty remains where it originates from, here with you.

Phil: *[With a broad smile]* You’re more enchanting than I had anticipated.

**[Mimi and Tinu are at this time getting anxious that Anniel is taking longer than expected. Mimi decided to go check what could be keeping her.]**

Mimi: *[Took permission to check on Anniel]* Tinu, let me check on Anniel.

**[Phill heard the door to her sister room open up. He extended his left open palm to signal that Anniel waits while he steps out to check on who is coming out of his sister’s room]**

Mimi: *[With a suspicious looks]* Big brother Africa, how is your project coming on? Did you see Anniel?

Phil: Sis, I’m review the process. I just came out to get some snacks and juice. Anniel coincidentally is herewith me in the kitchen. She’ll join you ladies very soon.

Mimi: *[Step back to her room with two thumbs up at her brother.]* Anniel, please be quick with the snacks.

S01E11
**[Mimi returned to join Tinu in the room]**

Tinu: *[Sitting up straight]* Let me guess. Anniel was with your brother, right?

Mimi: *[Sitting amazed]* How did you guess correctly? Something most have been going on at my back that both of you are hiding from me.

Tinu: Its nothing you shouldn’t know. Just this morning Anniel started talking about some feelings she is developing for your brother that she doesn’t understand.

Mimi: Now I understand why that funny looks on her face when both of you arrived and my brother saying she hung the phone call on him.

**[Phil had returned to continue his chat with Anniel]**

Anniel: Big brother Africa, that’s what Mimi calls you?

Phil: I don’t know how she got that stick on me but I can’t stop her.

Anniel: I think I like it. It makes you special.

Phil: You do? You mean you want to be calling me that too?

Anniel: Oh no, its best hearing it from Mimi.

Phil: Anniel, it will be ungentlemanly for me to keep you away from you study, that’s the reason you’re here. Is it ok I get your mobile number so we can continue on this discovery channel of ours.

**[Anniel called out her mobile number while Phil typed it in his phone]**

Anniel: Can you make the time to attend my send forth party next week Wednesday?

Phil: *[With a gentle smile]* I’ll be honored. It will be the first time in my life to be at your place. So which of the universities would you be attending in SA?

Anniel: It is University of the Western Cape (UWC) in Cape Town.

Phil: Wow! Your dad most really want the best for. I know that’s amongst the five best universities in SA.

Anniel: *[With a shy smile]* Thank you. I’ve to go now before I keep the other ladies waiting for too long.

**[They both exchange pleasantries, collected their snacks and walk back to their rooms with feelings of excitement.]**

Tinu: *[As Anniel walks back to the room.]* Ok girlfriend, give us fool gist don’t hide anything.

Anniel: Mimi, sorry that I didn’t have the time to tell you before what you observe.

Mimi: It’s ok, I wish you and my brother will be able to work things out.

Tinu: Anniel, just don’t give your charm to those SA guys.

Anniel: I don’t understand why I should have this kind of feelings at this time that I’m leaving to SA. If I still feel the way I feel when I’m out there then I’ll know it’s for real.

Mimi: *[Changing the topic of the day]* Now lets talk about the big plan that will see Tinu through university despite her condition.

Tinu: You seem to have it all figured out.

Anniel: *[Beckoning they all sit closer]* Mimi, let’s hear what plan you have.

Mimi: *[In a conspiratorial tune]* Listen carefully to the plan I’ve started work on already

**[Mimi spoke her mapped out plan only to the hearing of Tinu and Anniel. The plan is met with mixed feelings of pain, anger, excitement and, determination]**

Tinu: *[Snap out the conspiratorial position]* Mimi, this plan is wicked!

Anniel: Mimi, please did you think this plan through? Did you give thought to how many people will be impacted by this plan?

Tinu: *[In tears]* Mimi, you’ve been a loving friend and I’m sure you’ll mean me no harm but this plan of yours is void of my feelings.

Anniel: Please Tinu, calm yourself so you don’t draw Mimi brother’s attention to our secret. Please calm yourself.

Mimi: If my plan is wicked, does anyone of you have something better.

Anniel: I haven’t been able to come up with one as much as I’ve been thinking. However, this plan will drag a lot of people along.

Tinu: It’s a hard pill for me to swallow because I’m one the to bear most of the pain. My parents, Anniel’s mum? I know my dad will not let any stone on turned. It’s not worth it. This will bring two families against each other and all for my sake. My friends, this will be a very wicked act on my part.

Anniel: Tinu, what I think is this *[As she takes are arm in hers]* If you’ll just follow through as Mimi has already planned it out, I’ll manage my mum from SA. As for your parents, yes they may pull everything down but only for awhile

Mimi: *[Takes the other arm of Tinu]* Tinu, your mistake is our mistake. We cannot bear the thought of going to the university while you’re back home as a mother to a child whose father does not know he is having a child with you.

Tinu: *[Glances at Anniel and Mimi intermittently]* I thank both of you for embolden me to follow up with this plan. In as much as I’m in love with the child I’m carrying in my womb, I do not want to miss out on my university education. *[Tears running down her chin]* I’ll go with the plan.

Mimi: Anniel will be gone finally to SA by next Wednesday and our university examination will be the same week Saturday.

Tinu: My delivery due date is a week after our examination if everything goes right.

Mimi: Whether you put to birth by yourself or by CS, once you’re able to have a snapshot of the baby on your phone, you should start off with the plan. I’ll give you every other detail you’ll need at Anniel’s send-forth party.

**[All three ladies take an oath of secrecy never to divulge their plan to any living soul alive on the planet]**

Anniel: *[With a raised right hand]* I promise to live by this secret of ours, not even to the one I love the most will I divulge it

Mimi: *[Also with right hand raised. Anniel right hand still raised]* I promise same secrecy

Tinu: *[She raised her right hand to the other two still raised. Both held to Tinu’s extended right hand]* I promise same. Even to my unborn child whom I love so dearly, I will not tell.

**[Phil walked up to Mimi’s room just as the trio finished making their oath of secrecy]**

Phil: *[Calling out from behind the door]* Ladies, I have to step out briefly. Remember you don’t have to read too much at this time. Just reviews will be preferred.

Mimi: Thanks big brother Africa. Don’t be long.

Phil: Tinu and Anniel, likely you would have gone before I return. Please have fun the rest of the day.

**[Phil left home. The trio have all the privacy they need now to deliberate more on their secret plan. Just before they could start up, Tinu’s father call rang through on her phone.]**

Tinu: *[Surprised as she stare at the other two]* Its my dad! *[Accept the call]* Baa mi **[My father in Nigeria Yoruba dialet]**

Jimmy: Adumaradan *[“black beauty” in Nigeria Yoruba dialect]* How are you doing my daughter?

Tinu: Dad, I am fine.

Father: Tinu, I acted rashly in my decision. Please forgive me. I want you to come back home.

Tinu: *[Break down in tears]* Dad, why is this coming at this time?

Jimmy: Tinu, whatever my rash decision may have caused you, please forgive me.

**[Tinu’s father can no longer hold back his tears. He gave way to tears and ask Tinu to please call him back that he’ll want to here her say when she’ll return home]**

S01E12

**[After speaking with her father, Tinu is emotionally confused. The secret plan, her father pleading she returns back home. Anniel and Mimi at this moment are at their wits end.]**

Tinu: *[End phone call. Yet in a tearful tune]* Mimi, Anniel this is not a good sign. I have looked forward to the day I’ll return home to my family. Here and now is the call to return home but this secret plan of ours.

Mimi: None of us thought of this coming at this time. Tinu, will this have to change our secret plan?

Tinu: This is really confusing and challenging for me right now.

Anniel: Tinu, a question that will help in steering our secret plan forward is, how will your going back to your parents with a child in hand affect your going to the university?

Tinu: *[Silent for a moment]* That’s exactly what I’m going through in my head right now. *[Brightens up]* I’ve got it all figured out. I’ll tell my dad that I’ll be back three weeks after my exam. *[Feeling self assured]* Within the three weeks I definitely will have had my baby and our secret plan will be carried out as agreed.

Anniel: I must confess that this is getting scary.

Mimi: Girls, my suggestion is we just focus on our secret plan and every other thing that comes after it will naturally sort itself out.

**[They reassured themselves of not turning back on their secret plan.]**

**[Back at Tinu’s parents home, her father on returning home looking worried informed his wife of the call he put through to Tinu.]**

Bimpe: Ekaabo Oloori mi *[You’re welcome my head, Nigeria Yoruba dialet]* You look so tired and worried.

Jimmy: *[Sinks into the sofa]* I called Tinu on my way home. I thought she would be excited to hear me say she should come home but she didn’t sound enthusiastic on phone

Bimpe: My husband, I thank you for shifting ground. I’ll talk with her, I know she wants to come home. *[Sit next to her husband]* You know her exam is a week from today, she might want to finish with her exam before returning back home.

Jimmy: I wonder how she is coping with her pregnancy all this while. It most have been difficult for her preparing for the exam.

Bimpe: Let me dish you meal. You must be hungry.

Jimmy: How was you business today?

**[Anniel and Tinu left Mimi’s home. It’s apparently the last of their reading rendezvous. On their way home in a cab, Tinu had so much going on on her mind that she could not chat with Anniel as usual]**

Anniel: *[Takes Tinu by the hand]* I know you’re still very disturbed about the plan three of us agreed upon and also your dad’s phone call.

**[Just before Tinu could respond to Anniel’s remarked observation, her mother’s call rang through on her phone set.]**

Tinu: Its my mother calling, I know the moment my father tells her he had asked me to return home, my phone will not rest until she makes certain when I’m returning back home. [She signed at Anniel to give 3 minutes to answer the call.]* Maami *[My mother in Nigeria Yoruba dialet]*

Bimpe: ‘Adumaradan’ *[“Black beauty” in Niegeria Yoruba dialet]* How are you doing and how is ‘Atinuke’ *[Nigerian Yoruba courteous way of referring to an unborn child]*

Tinu: Atinuke and I are doing quite well.

Bimpe: Tinu, your father called you to ask that you return home. I was expecting that you should hurriedly be here.

Tinu: Mum, I cannot talk where I’m at the moment. Please, I’ll call you back as soon as Anniel and I get home.

Bimpe: That’s ok. Please tell Anniel that I will make time to come see her and her mother. I’ll be waiting for your call.

**[Tinu ended the call]**

Tinu: Anniel, this is becoming more and more heavy on my emotions.

Anniel: I know but do you want to change the plan now? Tinu: When I think towards changing the plan, I am afraid of how my life will turnout in the long run.

Anniel: *[As they get off the Taxi cab.]* Do I take it that nothing will stop our secret plan?

Tinu: I really most be in the university like you my friends and graduate the same time with both of you.

Anniel: You’re looking like birth pangs is trying to take over you.

**[Anniel tapped on the gate. As the elderly gateman opens the gate he stood as if he wanted to ask a question but could not come up with any. Tinu and Anniel gave the customary greetings due an elderly man and simply walked on]**

Anniel: *[As they walk into the apartment.]* Tinu, the next time you speak with your mum, simply tell her you’ll be returning home 2 weeks after our exams. Does your mother know your delivery date?

Tinu: *[Sitting tiredly on the Sofa]* No I had never mentioned to her as much as she may be able to speculate on it.

Anniel: 2 weeks is enough time for our secret plan to be in full swing.

**[Back at Tinu’s parents home. Aduke eavesdropped on the conversation between her parents. She was so excited that she had to tell her mum that she was listening to their conversation.]**

Aduke: *[Jumping and talking like a 6 year old girl]* Mum, I was listening to what you and dad was saying about aunt Tinu returning back home. When is she returning?

Bimpe: Aduke, Tinu is as excited as you are to return home. You know her exams are coming up in a week’s time. So once she is done with her exams, she’ll return home.

Aduke: She’ll have her baby and we’ll take care of the baby.

Bimpe: Lets go get dinner ready, I know everyone is very hungry.

**[Back at Anniel’s home. Her mother returned meeting both ladies in the living room. They quickly changed the topic as soon as Anniel’s mother got in.]**

Anniel: Tinu my mother has just driving into the car park. Let’s keep our secret secret.

Tinu: My lips are sealed

Jane: *[Walk into the living room]* Girls did you have a wonderful day? Tinu, you’re all changed completely in your appearance. Well that’s what pregnancy does to a woman but I know you’ll quickly bounce back after your delivery.

Tinu: Thank you ma. I really cannot wait for all of this to be over.

**[Anniel mother’s phone rang out from her bag. It is her husband calling from SA. She accepted the call and took excuse to have the call in her room. Anniel’s mother continue on the call as she walks to her room]**

Jane: *[On the call]* Darling, your call just met me getting back home. How was your day?

Oscar: Sweetheart, my day had been eventful. I just closed a new deal today which will become an addition to our product line. I have completed all the paper works for Anniel’s resumption at the university. Her marks were ok at the exam she wrote.

Jane: Thanks a lot my darling. You deserve a kiss.

Oscar: Like the one you gave me the last time you visited. I hope Anniel is able to contain her excitement of coming over to SA. By the way how is her friend, Tinu, has she put to birth yet?

Jane: *[Reclines on the bed as she continues with the call]* She is not due yet I reckon she’ll be due sometime after their exams. Remember I mentioned she’ll be going to put up with my sister when Anniel and I comes to SA on Wednesday. She’ll be there till I return

Oscar: What about her parents, have they come forward yet?

Jane: in as much as occasionally I get greetings from them through Tinu, they’ve not shown any sign of worry about where their daughter could have been staying.

Oscar: Well I just hope this kindness of yours will not spell trouble tomorrow.

**[They exchange endearing pleasantries and ended the call. Anniel and Tinu had already gotten dinner ready. The all had their meal rested for the day]**

S01E13

**[Its Wednesday, the day of Anniel’s send-forth party, the day Anniel leaves to South Africa. Tinu is cut between her heavy pregnant state and assisting with tidying up the home for the party as she is almost at her full term. Anniel is overtaking by excitement of the day. Jane Barakat, Anniel’s mother, feels overwhelmed by all the running around in preparation for the party]**

Jane: Tinu, I know you cannot bear seeing us working without giving all your support but please be mindful of how you exert yourself at this final stage of your pregnancy.

Tinu: *[Tried hiding away her feeling of tiredness]* Thank you ma but I’m ok. Anniel, lets put a little more décor at this area.

Anniel: Tinu, just as my mum said you need to be mindful. You’ve done so much already. Please when you’re done with this decoration, you should just go in and rest. What is left is not much.

Tinu: I’ll have to be the judge of that.

Anniel: It will be great fun to meet with some of our former classmates since our final exams.

Jane: Anniel, please go to Simple at the gate and tell him that we’re expecting the caterer’s supply.

Anniel: *[Hurriedly to the gate]* Yes mum!

Tinu: I surely will miss this friend of mine. She is more than a sister to me.

Jane: Tinu, with various social media all around, both of you will surely stay connected. I trust you ladies for that.

Tinu: It will never be the same as physically present together.

**[Mimi put a call through to Anniel just before she leaves home]**

Mimi: *[As Anniel picked her call]* Hey! SA bound babe! Just make sure you girls don’t finish all the fun work before I get there.

Anniel: You better get here early enough as I can’t guarantee leaving the fun work.

Mimi: I’ll be there just before you end the call.

Anniel: You can come through the the call line then.

Mimi: Loads of hugs! See you soon. *[End call]* Big brother Africa, I have to leave now so I can help Anniel and Tinu get things ready for the party.

Phil: Lil sis, tell me please, what would you suggest I put on to the party?

Mimi: Just put on something that will make you stand out from the other guys. I’ll suggest your blue Blazer on a blue jean with your white polo will do the trick. Anniel hardly takes her eye off guys dressed like that.

Phil: *[With two thumbs up at Anniel]* Your dress is fab. Are you expecting anyone?

Mimi: No! big brother Africa. As a young lady, I always want to be on top of my game. I must take my leave now. I’ve written the description to Anniel’s home. See you at the party.

Phil: I’ll just wait for mum to be back before leaving home. *[Mimi leaves to Anniel’s]*

**[Back at Anniel’s home. Tinu, got a call from Aduke, her immediate sibling]**

Aduke: *[Tinu, picked the call.]* Aunty mi. *[“My aunt” in the Nigeria Yoruba dialect]* How are you?

Tinu: I’m doing quite ok, sisi mi. *[“My young lady” in the Nigeria Yoruba dialect]* How are you too? How is mum, dad and, my other siblings?

Aduke: I can hear loud music at the background, is there a party?

Tinu: Yes, my friend Anniel is leaving to South Africa and her parents arranged send-forth party for her.

Aduke: Mum, is worried that you’re not coming home even when dad has asked that you return home

Tinu: I explained to mum that 2 to 3 weeks after my exam, I’ll be returning home. The exam is this Saturday. You know my friend is traveling so I need to help her mum a little before coming back home.

Aduke: Ok, but please know that we all, your siblings, are anxious that you return soonest.

**[Mimi arrives at Anniel’s home while Tinu rounded up the phone call with Aduke.]**

Tinu: Aduke, we’re trying to complete preparations before her guest start arriving. I appreciate your call ‘sisi mi’ *[“My young lady” in the Nigeria Yoruba dialect]* My regards to mum and dad.

Aduke: ok bye *[End the call]*

Mimi: Hey girls! I started dancing right from the gate. Who is the DJ of the day?

Anniel: DJ, do we need one? We’re our own DJ joor. *[Takes some dance steps towards Mimi]*

Tinu: *[Attempted some dance steps too]* I know I’m heavy but I can still rock.

Mimi: Go Tinu, go Tinu

Jane: *[Coming out of her room]* You ladies won’t stop to thrill me. I just called the caterers and they confirm they’ll be here in 10 minutes. The party will start in earnest by 4pm.

Anniel: Mimi, is Phil coming?

Mimi: Yes he will.

Jane: And who is Phil, if I may know?

Anniel: He is Mimi’s elder brother.

Jane: And?

Anniel: Mum, how do you mean and?

Mimi: Let me go check, that may be the caterers blaring the horn out at the gate. *[Hurried out to the gate]*

Jane: Anniel, is there something you should tell me about Phil?

Anniel: Mum, maybe not now. I’ll let you know when something is for certain.

Jane: Ok, since he’ll be present at the party, can you introduce him at least.

Anniel: I promise mum.

**[Back at Mimi’s home. Mimi’s mum returns earlier than usual as she is aware of the party organized by Mimi’s parents]**

Phil: Welcome mum, I was just waiting for you to return before leaving to the party. Mimi has been long gone and the party is to start at 4pm.

Suzzy: *[Beckons on Phil to sit down for a moment]* Son, are you hiding something away from me?

Phil: *[Surprise looks]* How do you mean mum?

Suzzy: You’ve been so excited about this party. Are you meeting someone there?

Phil: Mimi’s friend invited me to attend.

Suzzy: Mimi’s friend? Definitely not Tinu. It must be the celebrant herself.

Phil: You’re very correct mum.

Suzzy: So what’s with her?

Phil: Let me just say it’s a discovery that I want to make, I want to discover what’s with her.

Suzzy: Ok, finish with your discovery but don’t leave me in the dark.

**[Back at Tinu home. Tinu’s father calls all members of his household to have a family talk.]**

Jimmy: My wife and my children, I must admit that I took a hasty decision chasing Tinu out of the house when she became pregnant. Aduke and Iyabo, both of you are the next females in the house. *[Goes to sit between both girls with his arms across their shoulders]* It will not be good that we have a repeat of the mistake you elder sister made of getting pregnant when she is not married to any man.

Iyabo: Dad, I’m still growing up but your reaction to aunt Tinu’s serves as a strong object lesson for me.

Aduke: Dad, I can see how this pained you and I’ll not want to see you in such pain again. I know aunt Tinu made her mistake but she always advice us to avoid any situation that will lead us into the kind of mistake she made.

Bimpe: Aduke and Iyabo, I’m glad to hear both of you speak in this manner. I pray that these words of yours be true all the time.

Jimmy: *[Walks over to take Dele on his laps as he sits besides Folarin.]* And you my boys, also know that as you grow up, it’s not right for you to get a girl pregnant just because you’re close to her.
**[Back at Anniel’s home. The party guest have started arriving. Lots of catch up is going on amongst former schoolmate.]**

S01E14

**[Its Anniel’s send-forth party. Choice music is rolling out from the music system. Some of the guest are dancing while others are chatting and looking at the paintings on the wall of the living room. Jane, Anniel’s mother is on a call in the room with her husband.]**

Jane: *[On a phone call.]* Darling, how are you doing out there? How is the new deal coming on?

Oscar: Sweetheart, it’s been very challenging keeping with the demand of our clients but we’re always one step ahead of them. How are you and the party girl?

Jane: The youths of these days are full of everything. You won’t believe their choice of dancing.

Oscar: Let them have their fun. Please don’t forget your flight on Kenya Airways from Lagos to Cape Town will depart at 11:10hrs. It’s approximately 2 hours 10 minutes flight duration because you’ll be having a stopover.

Jane: Yes I remember. The party will end at 7pm so we can leave on the night bus to Lagos.

Oscar: Ok since you insisted on going by road.

Jane: We’ll briefly stop by my aunt’s to take a shower before heading to the airport.

Oscar: Only be sure both of you are at the airport before checkin time. You know how Lagos traffic is. I’ve to get off the line now, I’ve a meeting at 6pm. One other thing, there is a welcome party for Anniel in the evening of tomorrow that you’ll be arriving. So you girls have to be prepared for it.

Jane: Ok sweetheart, I’ll mention to Anniel. *[Ends call]*

**[Tinu was able to spend sometime with her former schoolmates before resigning to the room. They kept looking at her in disbelieve because of her pregnancy but she didn’t mind. Anniel and Phil were able to catch a moment together.]**

Anniel: I’ve not taking my eyes off you since you stepped into the party.

Phil: Same here. I’ve been waiting for this moment. I just didn’t want to interrupt you chatting with your former schoolmates. Is your mum anywhere around?

Anniel: My mum asked that I introduce you the moment you’re at the party.

Phil: You mean you’ve talked about me already?

Anniel: Not as you think. It was just women side talk.

Phil: Ok introduce me.

Anniel: You just wait here let me call her from her room. [Phil waited nodding to the music playing out]*

**[Mimi quickly steal a moment with her brother]**

Mimi: Big brother Africa, I’ve got your back. *[Gave Phil a hug]*

Phil: *[Surprised]* And what is this for?

Mimi: Later I’ve got to go, Anniel will be out with her mum soon.

Anniel: *[Stepping towards Phil]* Mum, please meet Phil. Phil, meet mum.

Phil: *[With a slight bow of respect]* Good evening mam. It’s a pleasure meeting you. I can now see where Anniel got her beauty from

Jane: You’re a fine young man. And thanks for the compliments.

Anniel: Mum, he is defending his project in 2 months time. He is pursuing a career in Chemical engineering.

Phil: Hey! Anniel! Do you have to say all that?

Jane: Phil, pay know attention to her. Let me round up with what I have to get ready before we leave.

Anniel: Mum, you’ve just reminded me. Tinu, Mimi and, I need to talk before I leave. Phil, please enjoy the party while I get Mimi so we can be with Tinu in the room.

Phil: *[With another slight bow of respect]* I wish both of you safe journey to SA and Anniel I’ll constantly keep in touch.

**[Anniel’s mum got back to her room and Phil to where the party rocks. Tinu, Mimi and, Anniel are in there conspiratorial position in the Anniel’s room.]**

Anniel: Tinu, you’ll drive out with my mum and I so we can drop you at my aunt’s place as has been prearranged. My mum will come get you as she returns from SA. She is concerned that you don’t give birth before our examination day.

Mimi: Tinu, herewith everything you need for our plan to be successful. We’ve gotten you a flight ticket so you can be quick. Herewith the address and phone number of the contact. We pray your pregnancy allows you sit for the exam on Saturday.

Tinu: Girlfriends, I haven’t stopped thinking how our plan will bring up serous conflict between our families. It’s going to be a lot of trouble for innocent people.

Mimi: Tinu, you shouldn’t be coming up with this sermons now. We cannot turn back now because it’s your future we’re talking about.

Anniel: Tinu, don’t forget you should get a snapshot of the baby, send a copy to Mimi and I. Then dispose you sim and insert this other sim with the number known to only 3 of us.

Mimi: That way we can keep in touch with you until the time is right.

Tinu: It’s like the baby is agreeing with the plan. Anniel and Mimi, I know this plan of ours will start but I don’t think we all know how and when it will end.

Mimi: Tinu, how it will end is that you’ll successfully graduate from the university without a baby depriving you of your long desired goal. Is that not what we agreed?

Anniel: Girlfriends, while I leave to SA, know that I’m every step in this plan. I think we should join the rest before they start looking for us and it’s getting to time when my mum and I will have to leave to Lagos as our flight departs from there.

Mimi: Anniel, how are you and your mother getting to the bus terminal?

Anniel: My mum is of the opinion that she drives and park the SUV at the barracks close to the bus terminal

Mimi: Can I ask Phil to drive and I can come along too. Then we can drive back the SUV to be parked in the compound other than at the barracks. I know My brother will not mind more time with you and I know you’ll appreciate it.

Anniel: it’s like you’re reading my mind. I’ll mention to my mum. She’ll definitely buy the idea as she was wishing there could have been someone to just do as you mentioned.

**[The party ended. Anniel and her mother are already on the way to the bus terminal. Tinu had been dropped off. At the bus terminal.]**

Jane: Phil, thanks for driving us to the terminal. You are a distinguished gentleman. I’ll mention to my husband how gentlemanly you were to Anniel and I.

Anniel: *[Takes Phil by his hand]* Big brother Africa *[Anniel and Mimi smile at the same time]* Mum, that’s how Mimi addresses his brother. Thanks a lot. I never new you’re so kind hearted. I wish I had known you long before now.

Phil: *[Places his hand on Anniel’s who is still holding on to his hand]* We’re both coming through the part of discovery, we can only wait for what we uncover.

Mimi: Big brother African, we really have to be going so we don’t get held up in traffic.

Jane: Yes Mimi is correct. Anniel, lets present our bus tickets.

Anniel: *[As if not to let go]* Phil, you’ll be in my heart. *[Gives an endearing hug]*

Phil: *[Returns the hug]* You’ve set up a rhythm in my heart that will keep me dancing. Distance will not be a deterrent taking every step of the dance.

Mimi: *[Breaks the hug]* Big brother Africa, I also need my friends hug before she leaves. *[Mimi and Anniel had a warm hug that lead to shedding tears]* Anniel, I’ll miss your warm personality.

Anniel: *[Break the hug and hug again]* Mimi, one for all and all for one.

**[Anniel and mother boarded the bus while Phil and Mimi drove back the SUV to Anniel’s home]**

Phil: *[Driving]* Now lil sis, care to tell me what the hug was all about while I was waiting for Anniel to introduce her mum to me.

Mimi: One of the guys at the party was stalling Anniel so when I noticed it, I quickly take his attention away from her and I had to make you appear as the hottest guy in the party by giving you a hug.

Phil: Lil sis, a little competition will not have been bad.

**[They got to Anniel’s home, parked the SUV and headed back to their home.]**

Anniel: Dad, stop teasing me. No young man will trail me without you knowing.

Jane: Please let me have my husband you have to wait for yours.

Oscar: *[Turn to his wife]* Darling, you know I have to save the best for last.

Jane: *[Gives hugs and Kisses]* I’m surely the best.

Oscar: Thanks to your mum, she makes sure I keep the same thirst as back home. You girls can go take a shower so you can relax before the dinner party.

Anniel: Dad, please allow me call my friends on your phone.

Oscar: Oh sure go ahead my dear. You can go straight to your room if you need some privacy.

Anniel: *[Wheel along her heavy box of clothing]* Thanks dad. *[Gasp for breath]* I do need the space.

**[Anniel put a call through to Tinu and Mimi in Nigeria]**

Anniel: *[As Tinu answered her phone call]* Baby girl, its Anniel

Tinu: *[Excited]* Hey! SA babe! I’m glad you arrived safely. How is your dad?

Anniel: My dad is fine. I’m missing you already my friends. How are you and the baby? I hope my aunt is treating you well?

Bimpe: I’ll prefer she is back home before the baby arrives.

Jimmy: Hmmm, so I’ll have to hear the cry of an infant after so many years. Does Tinu know the father of her unborn child? Have you asked her?

Bimpe: I’ve not asked. The circumstance until now has not made it possible but I know Tinu will let us know when she returns home.

**[The Barakat’s back home after the welcome party]**

Anniel: Dad, thanks for putting this party in place in honor of me. I enjoy every bit of it. Mr. Winston is such a gentle elderly man.

Frank: Anniel, you deserve it. Most of all, I wanted my business associates to meet you as you may have to represent me at times.

Anniel: *[hugs dad]* Love you dad. Thanks for all the opportunities you’ve been according me.

Frank: So tell me young lady, who is the young man in your life?

Anniel: Oh dad, not at this time.

Frank: Anniel dear, I’m just curious. I observed all the while at the party you did not pay any heed to all the young men who attempted to get your attention. I don’t think you did that because I was present

Anniel: Did mum tell you of the young man that drove us to the bus terminal?

Frank: Yes, she did. What’s with him?

Anniel: He is the young man in my life.

Frank: Interesting. How did you meet him and who is he?

**[Portharcourt, Nigeria]**

**[At Anniel’s aunt where Tinu put up as Anniel and mother are away to SA]**

Tinu: Aunty, I was able to tidy up the living room.

Beauty: Tinu, I’ve been observing you since you came into my home. You’re a well brought up girl. How did you get yourself in this kind of situation. I mean you don’t appear like someone who could have gotten pregnant when you still have your life ahead of you.

Tinu: Aunty, I guess I couldn’t tame the sexual passion that builds up in the heart of a young lady.

Beauty: When you come through this, please don’t let it happen again.

Tinu: I’ll bet my life on that. Anniel’s mum is likely to be back today. If she does, I’ll plead she allow me stay back here to sit for my exam tomorrow as it’s closer to my examination center. I hope you don’t mind.

Beauty: Mind, if not for one thing I’ll have suggested you come put up with me finally. I’m living here all by myself.

Tinu: Aunty, you’re also a very accommodating person. You don’t mind if I ask a question.

Beauty: Go ahead Tinu.

Tinu: Where is your family? I mean your husband and children.

Beauty: I cannot keep count of how many people have asked this same question. Tinu, pardon me I’ll give you the answer not today.

Anniel: Ok aunty, I’ll respect your not telling me today.

Beauty: Tinu, I hope you have an idea who the father of the unborn child is.

Tinu: Sorry aunty, that’s a topic I’m not comfortable talking about at this time.

Beauty: I see you to be an intelligent girl that cannot be fooled around.

**[Tinu was in a trans for a moment as she reminisce in time.]**

Beauty: Tinu, are you alright?

Tinu: *[Get off the trans]* Oh! Yes! I’m alright. I just got carried away by my thought of how I’ll manage tomorrow in the examination hall with my pregnancy weighing me down so heavily.

Beauty: You’re a strong lady. I only pray you don’t get into labor in the examination hall.

**[Just as Tinu is to say something, a call come through on Beauty’s mobile phone. It is a call from Anniel’s mother in South Africa]**

Beauty: *[Pick up her call]* Hmm, the SA mama. How are you, your husband and Anniel? Is Anniel settling in well?

Jane: Aunty, my husband and I are doing well. Anniel is ok and settling in good. How are you and Tinu doing?

Beauty: We’re fine. I must tell you that Tinu is a well brought up girl. She is hearing me say this

Jane: I saw that as well that’s why I can afford to allow her stay with my daughter when her parents threw her out. Please I’ll be back tomorrow instead.

Beauty: That’s ok. Speak with Tinu. *[Hand over the mobile phone to Tinu]*

Tinu: Good day ma. How is Anniel? How are you?

Jane: Tinu have you been doing fine? Anniel is doing well. I know she’ll call you before your exam tomorrow. I’ll be back tomorrow not today any long as was previously planned. So you’ll be with aunty till tomorrow.

Tinu: It’s ok ma. My exam location is closer here of which I was speaking with aunty that I’ll want to stay with her till tomorrow even if you had returned today.

Jane: I know aunty will be ok with that. Success at your exam tomorrow and tell that baby to wait until you’re done with your exam.

Tinu: *[Laughs]* The baby has agreed already.

Jane: *[Laughs in return]* Please give the mobile phone to aunty.

**[Jane and Beauty talked at length on how to assist Tinu to transport back and forth on her examination day, when and how to bring her back home.]**

**[Anniel made a conference call to Tinu and Mimi the night before their examination]**

Anniel: *[Call up Tinu]* Hi! Girlfriend. How is our baby and latest mother to be doing?

Tinu: Hey! Anniel dear, baby and mother are in good shape. How are you doing? Please don’t give gist make it full.

Anniel: Please hold on while I add Mimi to the call.

**[Anniel dial Mimi’s number who picked up almost immediately]**

Mimi: The SA babe! I hail!

Anniel: *[With a taint of smile on her voice]* Please lets link up with Tinu I have her on the other end of the call.

Mimi: Go ahead ma!

**[All three on a conference call now. They exchange pleasantries before going down to the main reason Anniel linked both of them in the conference call.]**

Anniel: Girls, please confirm that no one else will listen out to our conversations. My parents are out.

Mimi: Yes, I’m home alone too.

Tinu: Same here. Aunty is still out at her place of business.

Anniel: Tinu, please reconfirm that you’re still with our plans.

Tinu: Girls, I’m as sure as the baby in me. I’m not going back on the plan, no I’m not and never will.

Mimi: Tinu, we may not feel this as much as you do but thinking on it definitely gives me concern too

Anniel: Obviously, we cannot turn back on this now. Tinu, remember as soon as you dispose your SIM card use the other SIM which number Mimi and I have. Whatever happens do not reach Mimi and I until we decide to contact you. Remember you should also disable all your social media accounts.

Mimi: Snap the baby and send to our phones. That will indicate to us that the plan is in motion.

Tinu: Aunty is just arriving so I cannot say much. You girls just finish up with the conversation but know that I’m not turning back on our plan.

Anniel: We should end the conversation at this point. I wish you my friends success at your examination tomorrow. I’m starting my lectures next week. All for one and one for all.

**[All three ladies wish themselves success in their lives endeavors and swore to reunite when the time is right. End of conference call]**

Tinu: *[Soliloquizing in an under tone]* I cannot stop thinking of how many innocent people would be dragged into this secret plan of ours. How do I seek my parents face after it all. How will Anniel’s parent be affected by this. Would Mimi’s family not be dragged into this too. What about aunty Beauty that has almost taking me as her daughter already. *[She felt a little pregnancy pang]* Oh no little one, you’re not coming out as yet. *[Soliloquizing again]* Oh God this whole setting is weighing me down. I shouldn’t have allowed this in the first place. What if things take a different turn in the long run, will I still be able to continue my education? Hmmm, this is very tough for me. How will this day end?

Beauty: Tinu, I’m back. Are you and the baby ok?

Tinu: *[Snapped out of soliloquizing trans. Call out from her room]* Aunty welcome. We’re ok and I’ll be out soon.

**[Just before Tinu step out of the room, her mother call come through on her phone]**

Tinu: *[Answer call on her phone]* Maa mi *[My mother in the Nigeria Yoruba dialect]*

Bimpe: Adumaradan *[“black beauty” in Nigeria Yoruba dialect]* How are you and the unborn child? How is Mrs. Barakat and her family? I hope you always extend my greetings to them. Your father and I is planning a visit to them just before you’ll be returning home.

Tinu: I know she’ll appreciate it. Anniel has gone to be with her father in South Africa. She is completing her schooling there.

Bimpe: I remember the sent forth party. Tinu, your exam is tomorrow and I know you’ll be successful at it.

Tinu: Thank you mother. I only pray my labor pains those not disturb me while in the examination hall.

Bimpe: You’ll be fine. We’ve gotten your room decorated to welcome you and your baby. Please let me know when your labor pain starts and the hospital you’ll be to have your baby.

Tinu: You all shouldn’t have gone through the pain. I thank you all. Tell my siblings I’ll be with them real soon.

**[The call extended awhile but Tinu looked for a reason to end the call as her emotions started getting the better of her.]**
